That's interesting choice they've made. In the Visual Novel, you get an option where you visit the shelter to see if they've made it alive there or go with Tokiko never to see the human survivors ever again, a choice that will lock you out to that route. Seeing that Tokiko herself went back to her apartment is quite intriguing detail, with her being a "thinker" now. I hope they continue this since this is where the Visual Novel and Web Novel ends.

Hmmm... Chapter 40 is giving me doubts about Tokiko. She is undoubtedly a "Thinker" now but the way she gives off is eerie at the end.

I don't know if the original author from web novel is with the production but it rouses concern where they want Tokiko to be in between the battle of humans and other intelligent zombies.

Certainly, she doesn't hunt humans, however in contrast, she does consume other intelligent zombies as seen in chapter 38. The rubber duck blood stain foreshadowing it, in case no one understood the implications.

We already knew that zombies eating flesh increases the probability of them becoming smart or the likelihood of their former self (similar to skullface)
We just don't know what effects it does when a zombie devours zombies instead of humans.

Anyways, I just don't want her to take bad route in all of this and will continue to believe in her as I did back when I played the visual novel.
