Seeing your explanation at the end of who that was reminds me that I’ve been playing WAY too much dynasty warriors origins lately😂

Why did he call the girl a rat? Did I miss something? :questionblob:
He was going to investigate the gunshot, but when he opened the door, he was met by that girl who serves as the king's right hand. You can tell by her ahoge. She apparently explained the situation to the male lead, and they probably agreed on a plan to deal with the king safely, and the male lead lied to his harem about the king assaulting that girl so the male lead's harem wouldn't lose their temper and go after the king immediately.

Some might see this as a good thing, but I clearly don't. I can never do better than an official, and this actually demotivates me to continue. I know I shouldn't be yapping, but still.
You've been doing a very good job with translating and I hope you continue to do so for this or any manga you choose to translate for

Don't sell yourself short. My general experience with "official" translations is they're for the most part of low quality and frequently get things horrifically wrong.

Alot of "official" translators are basically companies buying up the license to the series for cheap, then send it to a freelance translator for cheap, who will subsequently botch the translation, especially when they don't know basic terms of the medium.

Unless it's some kind of unedited machine translated monstrosity, fan TLs are often better than "official" ones.

Nothing like having official translations do stupid stuff like translate Shrine Maiden/Miko into "Messenger", or they don't even know the classic JP character tropes like Demon King so they make up their own nonsensical word that doesn't even make sense.

Anime official subs have gotten really bad with it lately. I can understand Japanese to a small degree and every so often I'll go "wait a second, that's not even close".

Alot of the problems tend to stem from stuff like the translators they hire don't even care/like the subject material so just phone in a very bland translation, along with western editors and translators whitewashing Asian stuff out.

Like when Pokemon in the west censored sushi and riceballs into sandwiches and donuts.

nah bro, official translations almost always take freaking years and years to translate the manga. And their translations are often shit and censored.

Well, a lot of people already gave you their reasons for why you should continue translating this manga.

I'll give you mine.

Your translations are available to anyone, but a physical release is not.
If you are not from the US, getting a physical copy may be prohibitively costly or outright impossible for some people.

Remember, this has been licensed in the US, not everywhere in the world.
For a lot of people, your translations are the only way to enjoy this manga, and this is the case for a lot of manga.

Even if buying the physical release is possible, oftentimes the licensed product is inferior to fan translations, so it doesn't even make sense to pay money for a product you don't even fully enjoy.

I just want to say that I enjoy your translations and I would love for you to continue translating this manga.
It would be great if scanlation groups didn't abandon titles just because they've been licensed in the US, forgetting about the rest of the world.

In any case, do what you think is right.

Thanks as always! :headpat:
