"I drew a character who's not supposed to be there for a whole chapter!"

Seriously? That's the best "it's a work emergency that needs you here to help now." excuse the writer could come up with? I can almost forgive manga writers for the crap nonsense excuses they come up with when trying to pretend they know how things go in an office or another type of business, but this is the sort of thing that you, the actual writer, pretty much do for a living. Or if you're just the writer and not the artist, then it's something that you have direct access to the people who do this part for a living. Surely you can come up with a more reasonable and convincing explanation than that...

"You've got to come and help! My computer crashed and wiped out all of today's work! And I forgot to back it up this time!"

boom. sensible, realistic, reasonable explanation for her needing immediate and significant help that doesn't make her sound like a total idiot.

But of course, I forget. "being a total idiot" is apparently moe or some nonsense. And we can't have all the lonely nerds going a chapter without swooning over their endearingly clumsy waifu.

Money talks & the guy isn't that dumb to reach his goal but I look forward to see how this develops. Looks like we caught up to the raws from what I can tell. Does anyone know if the release schedule for this title is biweekly or monthly? Thanks @CatLover556 for catching up & doing these translations.

Imagine how these adapting artists must feel actually putting that line on paper. Certainly it must feel like the most unrealistic thing possible to them.

Getting paid that much just for doing this, i would take it no doubt and without saying anything tbh, specially if i was still a student, just because the minimun wage here is like 500usd lmao

Thanks for the chapter

Erm, kinda both, it get published in splits on the 1st Tuesday and 3rd Tuesday of each month, so biweekly as splits and sorta monthly if you wait for the whole chapter, at least judging with Chapter 3 (which both parts got published on April 4th and April 18th), because 1 and 2 were out the same day on March 14th (ch 1 free and 2 as "paid")

Though next part is scheduled for May 2nd, so gotta wait until then to know when next part is due for and see if that is the actual schedule

Not to come off as pedantic, but the word actually being looked for here is "bimonthly," since that's the time frame that's being split. If there was ever a long-form series that was published as "biweekly" that author would likely be burned out before 1 month had passed.

Also, "Biweekly Shounen Jump" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue well.

Being a total idiot???

So humans have to be perfect beings who never make mistakes???

So a sleep deprived writer who is super rushed makes a mistake in her story and maybe adds stuff meant for a later scene early on because they can't fully think straight is unrealistic???

Humans can make dumb mistakes.

The fact that she planned the character for the next chapter means she already had the idea and sh*t.... so she could have easily mixed up a scene...

Stupid mistakes that they realize were super obvious is normal for humans.

How many times have you made a wrong answer on a test only to realize after the test that you wrote the wrong answer while actually knowing the right answer???

Well only if you think that Biweekly means twice a week yeah, but it means both, twice a week and every 2 weeks also known as Fortnightly, same goes for Bimonthly going 2 ways, so is whatever, japanese for this schedule they only call it 隔週刊 which can mean every other week, beside biweekly, sometimes adding a day like 隔週土曜 for every other saturday, and bimonthly being 隔月刊 and known as every other month, example being Dragon Magazine (ドラゴンマガジン) which is published every other month/bimonthly

Other publishing schedules would be, 週2回刊 which is twice a week on fixed days known as semi-weekly or 月2回刊 for twice a month on fixed dates or days known as semi-monthly, which is different from biweekly/every other week/fortnightly, this is the basic word usage for periodical literature schedule even in english

Though since this is kind of a mess, you can call it biweekly, fortnightly, every other week or semi-monthly, because there is barely any difference between, just that biweekly have a bit more freedom with schedule if there is a break than semi-monthly being fixed (if schedule in May for this manga is, 2nd, 16th and 30th then would be biweekly, if it skip 30th then technically semi-monthly)

She drew a character that wasn't supposed to be there "for an entire chapter."

That's not like it's one small mistake in one scene. That's an excessive amount of work over an extended period of time that would've also required her to have been paying no attention to the script she was working off of so that she doesn't figure out the error at any earlier point (and we don't know whether or not she's also the author of her own work). But the point I was making was less about the character than it was the writer and their choice of ridiculous error to set up that scene when they could've and should've found something that was at least a little more sensible.

I never said people had to be perfect. I was never even attempting to come anywhere close to making that kind of statement. You're kind of blowing this out of proportion. Are you OK? This feels like the sort of reaction that comes from already being upset about something before my post happened to be an inadvertent flashpoint.
