I have mixed feelings about this series. There's some stuff going on here that's surprisingly emotionally mature and definitely worked for me, but it's still held down by a lot of limitations of the high school setting. HOWEVER!!!!!! The way that the writing in the last six or so pages throws in an unearned and out of NOWHERE twist that was so baffling it left me uncertain how to feel afterward. And honestly...I kinda loved it? Normally I hate unearned twists or resolutions but I was so startled by the AUDACITY of it that I was genuinely impressed. Not a great series by any means but I'd probably recommend it if only for how enjoyable it is to yell WHAT??????????? at the ending. Funny stuff.

I actually like this manga, but the story is really not my thing.

I feel like I keep seeing this in East Asian romance stories where a perfectly healthy couple gets dragged into some love triangle/drama that would realistically make most people break up and move on. But somehow, the original couple still ends up together like nothing happened.

It reminded me of this gl manhwa where the mc gets cheated on by her classmate while they’re literally dating. She goes through her whole dark era, gets heartbroken, cries, etc. And then they get back together. People loved it because they got sex scenes afterward. Like... are we deadass just ignoring what she did to the mc??

Anyway, I’m glad I held myself back after chapter 9, because it actually paid off. The ending was still pretty easy to predict, though.

Overall, it’s good, but definitely not amazing for me. The plot was just too predictable. They start with a healthy relationship, a minor conflict gets dragged out because apparently the author can’t let them live in peace, a third person gets involved, the mc somehow forgets everything that happened two chapters ago, they make up, go on a date, and boom, the end.

Still, I enjoyed reading it. And I absolutely love the art. It looks so damn good, and I genuinely fell in love with the art style.
