I ran a year-long experiment where I kept adblock off. I ended the experiment today because the advertisers have taken it one step too far

You guys block ads? I've never had an adblocker in my entire life. I don't know where you guys get one.
theres a bunch of yt tutorials if ur confused, just search up "how to install adblocker for (browser)" and click on it. ublock is good but most of em work just fine aswell

I have a Common Sense and AdBlock (Firefox and uBlock Origin for many years and years)... :chad:

You have to block ads if you want a usable experience on certain domains. Social sites and video sites like YouTube allows a lot of ads that need actual human moderation in comparison to their current detectors. But who knows before we're all using chatbots.

And if you wanna go an extra mile, I also recommend the NoScript extension. In combo with ublock, this keeps my (sidekick) potato PC browsing the web quite smoothly.
Same. I haven't seen an ad in years. I can even turn of u-block so the site stops bothering me about ad-blockers and still see no ads. It's great. I've also learned how shitty sooo many sites are.
