This...Is on an Extra Chapter?! Isnt a major event like valentines day supposed to be a main chapter?

Anyways...Why is Moeko a bit TOO friendly with Ichikawa here? giving him choco in a way. was it some IQ play to piss off yamada perhaps? anyways no hesitation. he just decides to buy a chocolate for her. no extra panel of him wavering. its just get it done and over with thing. felt realistic and new compared to most rom mangas like this

She gave chocolates to all the boys. There are multiple types of chocolate that get handed out on Valentines, and it isn't just store-bought or homemade either. The two big ones are obligation chocolates which are small or simple treats to get handed out to acquaintances, and confession/affection chocolates which are typically larger and more lavish. Either one can be store-bought, and either one can be homemade as well.
With that in mind, it is completely normal for Moeko to give him the same chocolates as the rest of the boys. That doesn't mean Yamada wouldn't or shouldn't get jealous, but it would actually be more odd if Moeko didn't give him anything when she gives chocolate to all the other boys. Intentionally singling out one person to not give chocolates to can actually be taken to mean you have some issue with them, even if they seem to be dating someone else.

evidently from these comments some people think a 13 year age gap is normal but ichikawa's sister is like 20 (she had her coming of age ceremony) so that means they had her at 26 and 39 respectively. not trying to shame anyone but for me thats unthinkable. he was 1.5x her age holy

For all intents and purposes, we could be talking here about a professor with his PhD student.

thats possible yeah and would explain how they met but that means on top of mans pushing 40 dating a young student theres a conflict of interest in her phd candidacy as well

I'm just saying it's a possibility regarding socialization while being credible. But if it's about ethics, it's possible the relationship between them have begun after that candidacy.

After all, I'm still remembering CLAMP weren't very ethic with Sakura's parents.

Per the dating age formula (aka "Standard creepiness rule") 39/2+7=26.5 ≈ 26, so it's on the edge.

However, if we assume that they got together earlier than that, even just a year — 38/2+7=26 > 25 — that's yabai territory.

She probably gained weight from the melty kiss he gave her
How? She has tall person metabolism. She eats and eats and eats and it never shows up on her figure. I know what that's like because I have tall person metabolism and can't put on weight no matter how much I eat.

She has a bit of a complex about her weight, but it's only because she's just a big girl overall- big height, big bust, big thighs... And compared to her friends and other peers, she's a lot heavier because of that.

Shit, she looks perfectly slim in that shot while they're texting. If she gains weight, it's because she grew more, not because of what she eats.

I have no idea on that shit. I will note I think that so long as both are adults, and one isn't old enough to be the other's parent, it's not all that bad. I have admittedly been interested in someone 14 years younger than me in my late 30s, but it was kinda a dumb crush, anyway, after I thought about it. She just vaguely reminded me of my ex (from a decade prior with a far more reasonable 2-year gap), and we spent some time sharing living space in my sister's house since she was a young online friend of her's she wanted to help out, so I had some weird mentality about it being a convenient potential relationship.

The 'thinking about it' is me realizing she wasn't really similar enough in personality to my ex in the ways that actually legitimately attracted me to her in the first place, such as her caring personality. This younger lass was too much self-absorbed when I really thought about it later, while my ex was generally a selfless and considerate soul, even if it came from depression and such. I just wasn't the right person for my ex, ultimately, as great as I thought she was. We were also both broken mentally, I just didn't realize my own broken-ness until much later, at the expense of us staying in contact after the mutual break-up. This is because we were living together when we broke up, but continued to be roommates, which was awkward, and eventually I had a mental breakdown over not taking care of my own share of the housework and basically did a form of self-harm (bashing my head against a wall) in front of someone I cared about that had her own history with self-harm (the far scarier wrist-cutting kind). I do not blame her for running away and mostly cutting ties.

Anyway... More recently, I've been mulling over the idea of being with someone ~11 years my junior who just became 30 in the past year, I think, and I'm 41 right now. I'm not super serious about the idea, because she's just someone I know online and it's quite clear she has no interest in long-distance relationships, or a desire to move because she has friends where she is, so I'd have to move to her area to even think about at least socializing with her to see if it's viable, and that's a lot of life change just for a chance, really.

... wow, I really went on a ramble about my own personal history in some random comment section. Not the first time, probably won't be the last.

Starting with 14 year age gap shook me for a bit, but then it got really depressing somehow and now I feel bad for being creeped out at first.
