what's the reasoning behind licensing an axed manga? what does it mean for the series moving forward??
My guess would be that they licensed it because it was really popular internationally, and since the licensor is kadokawa themselves, it's probably not that expensive to do so. I haven't read anything on the artist's twitter, but it would be nice if it would be possible to keep a manga alive with international sales and popularity and not just Japanese sales. I have a couple of other manga examples where the manga has been really popular overseas, but axed early just because it didn't sell in Japan.

Well, now that the translation for chapter 11 was released that was a very disappointing end. Such a very good art but sadly it ended too soon and was doing bad in sales. Honestly a waste of time

Dogshit ending, reads as if written out of spite for getting axed. You can recognize a person by how they end things, even if faced with defeat, and the author chose the way of a coward and a talentless hack. Hope their next title gets axed.
