The problem wasn't Conny's father lack of spine, it was his blind adherence to the "be honest on all your dealing" motto the Grail family has. His reasoning being "I made a promise and the honest thing to do is fulfil it even if I was being deceived." Something Conny herself calls out when she defines what "honesty" means to her.

The debt thing was "solved" with the engagement with Randolph. The "fake marriage deal" perk for Conny was paying the Grail House's debts.

Right he was taking on other people's debt and selling his daughter to cover it. I don't think you can just let that go.

OMG I am so glad I picked up this manga...
I'm not a huge fan of LN adaptations and I've read several villainess stories that were just boring and painfully bland, but of course I keep looking for that "one story" that'll amaze me. I am so in love with this manga right now and I can't wait to binge on the anime.

Does anyone have any recommendations of something similar to read while I wait for the next chapter?
Preferably not isekai / reincarnation.

The three best in the genre aside from this, are "The One Within the Villainess", "What's Wrong with Being a Villainess?", and "The Accomplishments of the Duke's Daughter". All three have elements of isekai/reincarnation in them, but each plays it to their strengths in novel ways, and they don't become the story, merely set dressing or Introductory elements.

looks like Conny + Scarlet and the fiance travel to a Venice like city and then things happened.

Based on what I saw so far... It looks more like spin-off than sequel. Since this one still ongoing.
