Yeah, hot soup can be scary but it needs to be BOILING to get a reaction from someone like that, classical dwarf heat resistance.

Last chapter we learnt that dragons are too stupid to differentiate a mimic from their own offspring. Now the hero is saying that dragons are smarter than humans. Make it make sense.
