Claude was adopted into the Graupner main branch family as Remilia is the only child and is expected to marry into the royal family. Which means Claude is needed to become the heir of the main branch. I expect with that background, he would have been adopted in, even if he didn't become an orphan.

He is Remilia's cousin by birth and brother by adoption.

Pina was indeed trapped with the reincarnator, at least at the beginning, but each time the reincarnator did something that went againt Pina's values her soul would take some distance, until she managed to go to the spirit realm where she completely closed herself

At some point Remilia manages to get to the spirit realm and rescue the original offering her a new life...

Her being on prison would just be tormenting the guards, the real star maiden (fairly certain she's in there considering our own MCs situation,) and anyone else that has to interact with her. She'd also make for a pretty terrible slave. So since there's really not any decent options that would truly torture Pina specifically, I'd say execution is just a mercy for everyone else 🤔

It's the most likely case with how things are for Remilia, which honestly means that execution is more a mercy for her than the nutcase that stole her life. Especially since said nutcase is so full of it that I feel like any torturer or slave driver is likely to feel more torment in dealing with her than she would. Execution is really just a mercy for everyone else, especially the innocent soul that's likely trapped in her since there's no way the real Pina could live a decent life after all of this, even if she did get her body back 🤔

him being part of the choices in the game was a thing, so Emin pulled Bakarina moves and everybody was unto her... sadly we never knew the brother was a POS too, like holy shiet, didn't even visit a single time, he wanted for Emi to wait for him for years in exile to then "save" her?
I would say it was the most unexpected part of the chapter, it wasn't bad at all.
we got some good dan avidan interactions again and Angel pulling the execution card swiftly in a kingly manner, remember he is only clumsy when it comes to Emi, every other time he's the ultimate humanoid boss.
9.5/10 here is a good rank for such a good and precise series.

There's a pretty big difference between love and obsession. One is built on an actual desire for the other to be happy (which, as you said, could lead to bad things if the other person isn't great.) Whereas obsession is built on personal ego, it's built on the idea that something or someone belongs to you in some way and turns your thoughts into how the other person benefits you. Both can come from a place of attraction, but they are not the same. A similar example is "nice guy" syndrome, that doesn't come from love, that comes from an obsession with the idea that you are owed something for your behavior. Similarly, her brother didn't give a crap about her feelings, he just wanted to force her into isolation so she has nobody but him, that's not love, it's the buds of a relationship built on abuse.
