From the extra comments at the end, "This is gore. Please censor it." made me actually cackle. :dogkek:

Anyways, I'm glad Emi and Remilia got a chance to properly be together. I honestly dislike the losing memories aspect of reincarnation concepts, but it was a lovely ending that felt fitting regardless. A shame we might not see any extras of the reborn Emi being with her new family, but oh well. Good stuff all around.

Edit: Didn't realize there actually was some extra stuff to read. Yippee~:win:

This is the most well-written ending I've ever read in a Japanese story. It leaves nothing to be desired and lives up to the promise of the first chapter. Beautiful and touching. I thought otome plots would never be good, but I was wrong. I'm really glad I read this, despite my preconceptions. Thank you for the translation.

W ending. Emi will be reborn as Remilia's daughter! Also so glad the og star maiden got reincarnated as well as their son. I would feel bad if they had to suffer when their body caught taken over by a bitch.

Reading back on all the comments about feeling iffy with emi becoming remi’s daughter, I think I get why I also feel that way. It has to do with emi’s actual wish. It was, to put it simply, let her (remilia) eat good food and sleep in a warm futon. She wanted to care for remi. Let her know she’s not alone. Now this whole manga, she basically did the second half there. And, technically, the first half isn’t needed because of how things turn out. But I think her main wish was actually to be with remi. They haven’t spoken this entire manga until this moment and even that was only for so long. Remi just recapped what emi missed and then they separated again. Like, come on!

They held hands and (emi) got bridal carried which is nice… but where’s great big reunion (meeting?) talk between them. How come we didn’t see that? Was there one at all besides introduction and hellos? Why didn’t remi just tell emi how she felt before emi couldn’t hear any god damn thing because she was turned into a baby spirit or some shit? I wanted a big ol’ heart to heart between them. Or even emi getting to know more about remi because she was fucking sleeping this whole time!

I guess my biggest complaint isn’t the ending, it’s that it feels underwhelming. We waited this whole time for them to meet but we only got the smallest amount of interaction. Again, was there more? Why not show us? If any part should be more fleshed out it’d be the ending, no? I wanted panels of emi’s faces that she’d make listening to the events. Questions she’d ask about remi’s journey and the world. JUST HAVE THEM TALK MORE. WHY SKIP PAST THE PART WHERE THEY HAVE A LONG TALK? Emi doesn’t get to be with remi as she was. The way she was when she loved her originally. I would’ve been so happy seeing emi be the aunt/godmother to remi’s child(ren) or something man. Now emi’s her kid and remi’s gonna die before her and then she’ll be sad or their souls will meet in the afterlife or some shit. Fuck Sorry im drunk rn
