I'm surprised to see Aoi still in the story but from a writing standpoint I imagine he's being used as the newbie audience perspective.

Some fetishes are more apparent than others but at this point it's really a ICantBelieveItsNotHentai but wanting to show the series to a non hentai audience, even though it's clearly not for kids. Huh? How does kenichi get into that category? Isn't it more combat focus with some ecchi here and there than a fetish manga.
