there was this one returnee manga where the protag didn't get all the powers, he just has knowledge of the fantasy stuff. The premise was the spiritualists in the real world recruiting him for his knowledge on demons. sadly don't remember the name to search for it, but iirc he was scared when encountering some monster for the first time (since he doesn't have power anymore, which ironically would be a bit odd since his brain should've felt less fear if he beat them before)
