100% agree and i said it in a previous chapter as well, like fine draw them different shapes but making different names is so fucking dumb and a waste of everyone time. No one wants to remember your made up veggie and meat names.

Though I'll be fair and say the manga is a pretty poor adaptation, the MC's experimentation in trying to cook with unfamiliar ingredients despite being an experienced cook is basically one of the core points of the series.

except from what we have seen so far they are not unfamiliar ingredients, they are just renamed earth veg.
the author 100% lacks the iq to come up with actually original plants and their cultural / nutritional significance to a hunter gatherer society, hedescribes fucking experimentation with the vegetables we have been domesticating for centuries and millennia.
