the joke got entirely lost in translation. There's a special term for a woman that uses the masculine pronoun (in this case boku, which isn't as masculine as ore but is still masculine) and so the MC is surprised to see one in real life, not just in manga/anime. but then it turns out that no its because they're ACTUALLY a guy
