She basically confirmed it and then ghosted the life out of him, he tried his best to believe in her, even actively tried seeking a conversation afterward and she just dodged him and then just disappeared out of his life.

She appeared again years later, as if nothing happened and she didnt do anything wrong after vanishing and trampling over his heart, for her to just go and try reinstering herself into his life and now claim she loves him after everything she's done, without uttering a single apology, when he just managed to find someone else he could potentially like. 😶

All of this makes her honestly look super heartless and selfish

My guess, lemon tells him what happened (like bullying and not wanting him to be involved too). But she won't confess that she still has feelings for him. But mmc will start getting feelings for her again. That will lead to more wacky hijinks for next 50 odd chapters. I will eat that shot up. I like those "both are into each-other but too afraid to confess" tropes.

This feels a bit bizzare that he changed his entire outlook on her just from a friends comment but i guess teenagers do be stupid.
Still doesnt make what lemon did any better but sunaos coping mechanism wasnt exactly good either.
Hopefully shell actually confess her feelings and we can get a proper conversation next chapter(shell probably just talk about wtf compelled her to lie but a man can cope)

Well, at any rate, I have to admit, finally reading about this most mysterious portion of the manga, it... feels a bit odd seeing Sunao's reaction. I guess it just jars a lot from my impression of him in those early chapters. Not saying there's anything necessarily wrong with it, it's just all this relative calmness rather than a more loud and pronounced trauma.

Not that these stories usually make much sense, but this one makes even less sense than usual. Why wouldn't Lemon just explain the circumstances? Especially now, after all this time has passed.

I am honestly conflicted about this chapter.
I really, really want to finally find out what was behind Lemon's lie. I think this chapter did a fantastic job at showing us past how she hurt Sunao, showing us the progression of how the hurt and confussion at the end of middle school / junior high warped into resentment.

But, I feel at the end, it is skipping the conversation, Sunao and Lemon's conversation. Maybe they are leaving it for next few chapters now that they are back in their bodies, but hell the closing pages of this chapter feel like we jumped to the next day without seeing any exchange between the 2 adults.

I swear I will be pissed if we don't see at least one of the following 2 things in the next 5 chapters or so:

-About Lemon's side of the story, a proper flashback mirroring the one we just saw from Sunao, from her perspective (come on, body swap theme!)
-Sunao and Lemon actually talking about the break-up, properly, however they do it, I want these university going adults to talk about the thing that's been hounting them for years.

So chapter 1 flashback really was a version of events influenced by MC bias after starting to hate 🍋 as a way to "move on", I just hope that whatever 🍋 wants to say next chapter explains why she didn't deny the lie, or how that lie begun in first place.
