So are they not going to address the whole Liz being destined to get three boyfriends thing because if I was Angel I would be hung up on that.

Now I'm as conflicted as Angel. Is her love real or just a product of her destiny? Is it a good idea to stay with her if she's gonna build a reverse harem sooner or later? If Angel gets injured again, like when he injured his hand, would she who is fated to "seek" strong individuals still love him or will she walk away?

What is happening to my comfy wholesome loli niece love story :meguuusad:

I sorta see it as "Liz could have any man in the world and she chose Angel" so even if there wasnt any love before Liz became the hero, it's gotta count for something that Angel was at the top of the list when it happened. (Now whether Angel's love is genuine is a different question...)

Regarding the strong individual thing, Liz specifically rejected that reasoning in this chapter. And if there's a subconscious influence, I think Mabel is pretty motivated to keep Angel in top shape, and Angel has already demonstrated he's still plenty strong even with the injury so I don't think his strength is gonna be in question.

As for the reverse Harem issue, as many others have mentioned (and especially Liz already mentioned she wasn't good with men), nobody says the harem has to be a straight harem~

Well obviously she just has to choose a couple of girls that want to screw Angel as her party and then join them in their fun.
Problem solved.

I would argue it reads more as "Liz put her own feelings above her natural instincts" than anything else. Chances are Angel kinda lucked out and the main reason Liz went so hard for him is mixture of her instinct as the "hero" while actually being in love with him.

Which honestly wrote this story into a corner, Liz charming women as well is just copium, since the whole point of previous chapter is "Female heroes exist to charm MEN in order to sick them at the demons" so if you suddenly write "Oh, you can also charm your own sex btw" it would make no sense (Since this isn't the first time female hero was a thing and chances of this not happening are extremely low and the country has no reason the never mention this) and Liz already mentioned this chapter she already got over her problems with men through "awakening" and in fact her body desires to find strong men.

I seriously have no clue how is author just gonna write out of this, because any realistic answer will turn this manga into garbage (Possible choices on top of my head: NTR and fixing relationship after it, random bs that resolves the problem that is flat out unfixable, country burning down as Liz still refuse to be the hero)

Well, it could be that Mabel finds some ancient elven stuff to heal Angel... he might just fit the profile of being "the strongest sword" afterwards. The main problem is that nasty dogma dictating a Hero, be it male or female, needis to seduce three companions of the opposite sex. Hard to circumvent.

If we exclude non-fictional options like those you mentioned, we are still in a fantasy world. Magic exists. Gods too, I mean there is a so called Saintess... and we got longlived races like Elves. So we have room for bullshit.

One solution would be to get Liz to lose the qualifications as the hero. How? Death, for example. If there is a way to resurrect her afterwards. Pregnancy, probably... if that's possible while she is "on duty" (= Demon King not resealed)... or maybe the Hero title can be transferred under certain conditions nobody of the short lived races knew.

One thing irks me - Heroes are chosen among candidates (hero bloodline), and likely based on their potential/strength. Liz is of the hero's bloodline, so at least one of her parents must be, too. If it was her mother then Angel as Liz' uncle would be of that very bloodline as well. If so, he was the likely candidate, because he was powerful enough to be called immortal or reincarnator or somehing like that. Someone who doesn't give up and always come back alive. Basically -> hero material.
But Angel was injured by the time the hero got chosen, so he was past his peak and it fell on Liz. Let's say Angel can be healed to full power (or beyond), then it might be possible to transfer the hero role to him. That would solve some things but brings the question regarding Angel's female companions (harem) - Mabel is a given, and Liz - it depends on whether she is strong enough at that point to still be a candidate or not... leaves the third one. Likely a Saintess from hell know where.

We'll see what the author will serve us.
