Yeah, the story wasn't very realistic to begin with the guy asking his senior why she ended things with her husband, on his first day on the job, but the stuff happening in recent volumes is just atrocious, way to ruin a story, and I personally don't think you can back paddle from this and make the readers care about it again.

Yeah, the author used that to create and really rub in the drama, you can tell by a mile away that the whole drama plot point is most probably done to increase the story's run time, and keep things spicy (which I hate).

Because the author could've easily gone with a more grounded story, a story of their everyday life while dating and the guy helping her with her trust issues and her helping him to be more vocal and outgoing, but instead we got this shit show.

It's your call, I looked at the raws yesterday from vol 5 to vol 8, and didn't like what I saw, and I've been feeling bad because of it all morning because it was such a good story at the start, also not really a spoiler because it never affects the story, her ex-husband shows up again, looking like a homeless person, but runs away when he sees her, and we get a panel of him reminiscing about the old memories of him and her, and he is regretting and crying about it. Just really sad, even though it was his mistake.

It really feels like the author is making this whole story as like a strong but toxic female lead, you know the type of posts where the girl cheats on her bf or spouse and the comments are "you go girl"? That type of shit.

Basically, it goes from super wholesome romance to a soap opera and a lot of drama.

Well you are stronger than me, because I went through the raws and I still feel depressed, can't imagine actually having to translate this shit show. Can't help but think what was the author smoking, there are so many ways to make a story spicy while padding out the length.
