it is edible!
in italy we have "pasta al nero di seppia'" which literally translate "black of the squid pasta", it usually has other types of seafood in it as well but they change depending on the region. It's not that different from the Black yakisoba they're showing here.

it has a very particular taste, not everybody likes it, personally i love it and i kind of crave it now.

it does blacken the mouth and it's not the easiest thing to wash, but it's considered funny most of the time
