I feel like the situation after the princess directly attacked him was a moment he deliberately passed on to strike at her support base to help her save face.
He could have easily leveraged that to ensure that even if she officially won the match, she would have no support from the people who voted for Leet and likely caused more than a few of her supporters to lose faith in their choice. Drawing attention to it, even if it was Leet's internal monologue, would have been nice to see. But that's also way smarter than any isekai is ever really going to write a character.
