They still don't know he's a monster. At first they thought he was a magical animal (Elemental Cat), now that he's a sacred animal (Holy Beast). Apparentely there is a not-specified difference between these three.

While she does control some monsters,she doesn't use them in combat, instead using them as transportation. She is a combat sorcerer for combat.

I think the difference is that the "sacred beast" follows the Saint, since Tama has access to behemoth form and sacred beast form. It is a form of progression.
