writing is kinda ass, ngl. Glasses dude is just a stand-in with next to no backstory and paper-thin motivations, he’s just set dressing to let MC have her moment. Same with the blond girl. They’re both just vehicles for tropes, there’s no depth to them. If that’s what they were going to be anyways, why bother even giving them names or making an attempt at making us empathize. It’s just goofy as hell.

Glasses guy I kinda agree, but you are assuming too much for blonde girl. Besides they have been barely a couple of chapters in, how much depth can they have in two chapters? How did you come to a conclusion with barely any content to be fair?

I admit I didn't foresee Belville attempting to betray Eugenie like that. I suppose it's just so lowly it didn't visit my mind. Just how comically evil is he? And then when all is said and done, the whole thing is forgotten and they are collectively punished, including Clarisse, whose only crime is to be the butt of the prince's jokes.

But of course it's a small price to pay for Clarisse if amusing the prince increases her chances of getting her execution cancelled. Not that she would actually need to do anything but reveal she's an exceedingly rare golem master to do it herself. But if it saves her neck without needing to reveal that, maybe it's beneficial for her.

Did you not notice how shallow the MC is as well? People who are abused their whole lives and treated like dirt by everyone don't turn out to be pure-hearted and thankful to live to only 18. It's just a poorly written story, Korean style.
