Realistically, Mushoku no Eiyuu and is the weakest series but even then it does have its moments.

Hell Mode is a cointoss. You love it, hate it or learn to love it. It is a slower paced story that is detail intensive since MC and his party learn dozens of skill throughout the story(some of which dont come up until much much later on). It also barely has romance.

Sengoku Komachi is by far is the best. It(deservedly) has a 9.32 rating here on Mangadex. A time travel series of a highschool girl who gets transported to the warring states period.

Last Boss is the next best. A pretty solid fun series followed by Tale of the Secret Saint.

After two slops like the The Instant Death and Parry, they picked Mushoku no Eiyuu over this, really? I don't know about the others but Last Boss is at least decent, I'll give them that. But the fact that this wasn't picked up is jarring.

it was social standards that kept them in shape, people didn't like dirty (physically) content until it was about how unsafe meat packing plants were, then suddenly papers loved posting "yellow journalism" back in the day, and it's continued to progress until where it is today because of the social standards of the people who consume it

We really don't need any hints or anything. It doesn't even matter that an "Allen" exists. They don't know anything other than that.
All we, as readers, need to know -- is that she is in a terrible situation, and it's believable that she'll fall for stupid tricks that she'd otherwise call out. There's really nothing to explain here.

Ana and Allen will earn their happy ending while the 'fake' female protagonist dies horribly (she gets sent to work as prostitute for miners and dies from STD. And in her final moments, she still thinks that she's the protagonist and a hero will come to save her.
