I can't honestly guess what Mochizuki's end game is. She ought to be interested in Tanuki, but that means she shouldn't be attacking his sister, whom he obviously is trying to help. Logically she should be helping Tanuki, to buy goodwill from him, to get closer to him. It doesn't look exactly that way, though, which suggests her plans are more nefarious. But who knows. She hasn't done anything overtly wicked so far, after all.
