Several series are like that; for example "The Apothecary Diaries", and the "Dahlia in Bloom" series about the reincarnated inventor that was cheated on by her fiance/business partner.

They start one series, decide that the current artist isn't doing it justice but the contract is still valid, so they hire another one to do another take on it.

I mean it really depends. a two stroke engine can be made with parts from a hardware store and a welder, and that's the most complex part. he's got magic so a motorcycle wouldn't be too crazy, though it'd be much more similar to a WWI style bike than that 80's honda looking one he made.

Uh yeah, basically. Last time this happened, it was Maoyuu, and that one apparently had like five simultaneous publications going at the same time, with half of that competing to be the main version. The eventual main version is still goated because Ishida Akira is too damn good (if you play FGO, he drew Artoria Ruler, Lancer, and Lancer Alter) and he outdid the other versions so much his version is the reason why Maoyuu popped off back then.

Uhm, if I'm remembering right the gods

were actually the ones that made MC die, they used the game to get people to fight the dark god, and when the players did achieve that they were cursed, every player on Earth died and they got in the game, MC have it good because he was in a terrible situation before getting isekaied, his sister had ruined his life and reputation, he had found a place outside the city to live that had low quality of life, the sister tried to take from him again but couldn't as he had nothing worth it anymore, and left, MC could still play games and did so, becoming a top player, he had a pretty good and stable life before the sister destroyed it.
At least this is all stuff I read from people that gone through the novel many years ago, it could be different if the manga adaptated the Light novel and there changes.
Don't remember if the gods isekaied everyone as "repayment" and to not feel too bad later, but I think someone said that MC later joined hands with the dark god because it was someone reasonable, didn't just put thousand of lives at risk because it could, killed them but who wouldn't curse to death their killers?

Oh no defo different. I checked and there’s even a 3rd Ishida Akira who’s a comedian. All 3 have diff kanjis (the artist Akira is written in hiragana), so in JP the diff is much more apparent than in english. It’s all coincidentally similar, like Jean and Jean (FR)

No, the Goddess was only able to save him because the curse from when the players beat the dark God happened so fast that the Goddesses weren't prepared for the retaliation. She was only just able to save him by transferring him to her world, where her powers were strong enough to give him protection. As for others brought here, like the group of girls, I'm not 100% sure.

Maybe it wasn't everyone but it was more than just him, and from the messages we can read it sems like it was the same goddess for him and the young girl, I know of a 3rd isekaied so it wasn't just a few, and they weren't selected for their level.

Yes, I was wrong on the "every player" part, because there would be a ton of overpowered people around, not just 3.
The intro says how Japan was hit by a current outage and the people playing the game died when the fallen god cursed them, but that wasn't right after its defeat, as MC continued to play for a bit when his team members had logged out, but of course a popular MMO would have thousands of people logged in at any time of the day, so it must be that the lazy gods noticed and took some souls before it was too late, and it says they were forced by the Earth gods to do so, possibly would have left them alone otherway.

weird how the raws for this one has gone to ch 49 (where the next update is "undecided") but the newer one has the raws gone to 77 chs! and 78 is coming up on June 28 as of the time you're seeing this! idk if this one has been axed or not but it's clear someone is showing which is the favorite sadly (idk if it's the author or the publisher or someone else), which is a shame because i liked the charm this one has imo, i hope they go back on this one soon!
