Not a fan of all the developments tbh. The new girl will obviously fall in love with Diana. Author made the mistake of making Diana way more interesting than Lapis and focusing more on her in the last chapters. At this point, I don't really care about Lapis x Natori and Diana ending up with the new girl will be inevitable but also kinda cheap... Kind of a shame the manga went down this love triangle route when Diana never stood a chance.

It really has doubled down on a predictable love triangle while slow rolling what was actually interesting: the Lapis plot. I thought we'd have advanced that much more by now. Instead it's been more typical unrequited love.

I don't think Diana is more interesting than Lapis though but that's my other gripe. The most interesting character (and relationship) is getting less screentime for unrequited romance shenanigans.

This sometimes happens in series with a clear "loser." The author develops the loser early right before the final loss, so that the eventual loss is impactful but sometimes that comes at the expense of other things. People complained about a similar issue with Blue Box.

Diana never had a chance honestly, there were only admiration/fan of a character, whereas Natori and Lapis have been getting closer with time, and thinking about it, Diana winning will probably only makes them realize how much they care about each other, driving them even closer

I might need to re-read this manga to be sure, but it doesn't seem like Natori is romantically interested in either Lapis or Diana (or at the very least doesn't realize it herself), so any romantic progress will be on hold until that happens, no? Natori mostly has the whole "I want to save Lapis from her tragic fate" thing going on, so she needs someone (maybe Allie since she seems the type) to sit her down and tell her that both girls are into her romantically. And can't shake this feeling that Natori or Lapis will meet that tragic ending regardless, leaving the romantic stuff way up in the air (Lapis/Diana as an enemies to lovers pairing?) That said, Allie/Diana is so cute, damn. I support it, maybe more than main pairing atm.

She kind of has but she hasn't been processing them as romantic. She has been getting the "Doki Doki" feelings for a while now but has been saying to herself that "It's just the feeling of a job well done" even tho she's aware she doesn't feel the same while doing it for other people. She's been telling herself that she wants to stay by Lapis' side, not because of attraction but bc she needs the job 💀

She's just pretty dense, Everyone but her is aware that both Lapis and Diana see her on a romantic light.

(I personally believe is bc she is not aware that wlw can be a serious thing.)
