I think it was more about Maomao complaining about the lack of snakes.

It's so strange the anime is probably gonna pass the manga in story. I know it's all just adapting the LN but still strange.

But they generally use this manga's designs and visuals. I wonder if it will diverge more if we get a 3rd season or if the mangaka will work with the studio to make designs.
