If it's a tank role then that should work for countering. If it's dps then maybe she can bounce her own projectile off the enemy for combos? Like each return increases the damage stack

Those hips don't lie, I understand now why she goes around with that hugeass cloak... that is a LOT of cake to hide.

I don't mind Kaede, it doesn't mean I like her, I just accept her presence.

She is being pretty abrasive, but considering all she had to deal recently i can understand where she comes from, but she has a uphill battle to be liked as a character... but truth be told, characters like her are necessary, it can get pretty "annoying" when everyone the MC and party meet are super agreeable to them.

I always love this one because the art style is so toony and enjoyable but man, the progression of the plot just takes so freaking long. The whole thing was basically filler.

Also, are they just NOT going to tell their accompanying party that the asshole from the big alliance was casting something on them??? Like massive miscommunication. All they have to say is “look, you probably don’t trust us BUT that guy was trying to do something yesterday to all of you. Stay cautious.” This’ll come back to bite them for sure. Christ I hate it when stuff like this happens.

That Gray is using his skills outside the dungeon which is a violation already of the Guild rules. His job in LN is like a suitor in a brothel. He has some skills that could hide it in detection and his karma wont go up. That's why he could convince all the seekers in joining Beyond Liberty alliance and could get all the girl he wants. His doing it also on Four Seasons and later on the LN he tried to do it with the girl's of Arihito's party but got deflected with Trust Level and ariadne's detection.

because that's the point where it went from "fantasy, with comedic tone" to "comedy, but in fantasy world"

I like KonoSuba, but it's because I knew from the start that it's a comedy. It may have a somewhat serious plot at times, but in the end, it's a comedy. So you can have a power of basketball, power of chess, power of swinging dicks for all I care.
it's fun.

But when you go from a somewhat serious fantasy world to suddenly full on comedy, it's really jarring.

I hope Tennis girl pulls some Prince of Tennis shenanigans, at minimum.
As for the kendo girl... I like her, but not how aggressive and distrustful she is. Pretty sure she is testing Otobe and his party, but not the smart way. I hope we get some flashbacks to know why she is the way she is. Otobe will probably save her, her party or probably both and might chill out a bit.
Also, damn. The swimsuit girl is thicker than a bowl of oatmeal. I can't say I didn't expect it, given her baggy cloak, but I didn't expect the swimsuit nor her class at all.

I just finished reading up to volume 8 of the light novel, and I realized that there is a significant change in dialogues, but more importantly, in personalities.
I prefer this Atobe, and this Elitia participates more as well, but Kaede's change is more radical. This antagonism of hers was not in the light novel. She's actually very sweet.

The classes in this world are self created for the most part.
Remember, when you enter, you write down your profession. Some of them literally wrote their last job. And the world system effectively creates skills to match that job.

In the case of Atobe, what he wrote ended up being overwritten and glitched out into some sort of super powered rear guard job. But normally, people literally just get the job they write down and they're forever stuck with it.

They tend to at least get some skills that helps within this fantasy world. The swimsuit instructor for example is pretty strong in underwater combat if I recall right. Haven't read the novel in ages.

Eh, I've been hit by a full-force handball. Lower velocity, but much higher weight. A tennis ball is maybe a bit painful, if it hits badly, but nothing severe. I don't see how it would be effective in stopping an attacker.
