Like Rain Scene
Dawg the last chapter was uploaded less than a week agoI thought there weren't any more chapters out, honestly I dont really care for sniping when one group is taking their time. Ive seen too many groups purposefully hold back on releasing chapters in order to get more donations. Then they release like 4 chapters at once when someone snipes
I'm confused. Why would you not need permission from the author, but need permission from the scanlators who don't own anything and also didn't get permission from the author? This seems like a confusing moral code this community has built up.Not cool sniping like that, next time ask if the current scan group would like any help.
it's just a matter of resource management: there aren't that many people who can scanlate stuff compared to all the readers around the world, so there's little meaning in wasting both your and someone else's efforts in the process.I'm confused. For me, it's not the moral argument it's more about the use. You know why translate something that gets updated anyway? Of course if the translator wants to, then he can keep doing it. I just don't understand it.I'm confused. Those are two completely different scenarios.I'm confused. Why would you not need permission from the author, but need permission from the scanlators who don't own anything and also didn't get permission from the author? This seems like a confusing moral code this community has built up.

That said, sure, he's free to do whatever he wants and no one can tell him otherwise. The only saving grace here is that he's not asking for any money, unlike some people <.<
Just keep in mind that, usually, getting sniped means that the chances of the previous group dropping the series increase, as well as the chances of this guy dropping the series due to burnout.
If that happens I can just read this stuff raw, but can you?![]()
But why would that matter? Isn't the scanlator who gets to decide what they want to translate? Why is it suddenly in a scale of "It's for the greater good". Like, i've seen that argument from people complaining at a cashier who wants to see their cashier's manager by making their own desires for the "good of everyone". It doesn't feel genuine.I think it feels a bit like a community argument. Like, efforts in scanlating a chapter could probably be better used for another series that isn't getting updates rather than the one that is receiving updates.
