Certainly looks like it might be heading in a harem direction now, which I know is going to disappoint some people on this thread, but... honestly? Yuri harem is still relatively uncommon as subgenre intersections go, so I'm not that bothered. Yeah you could argue that it's a little trashy, but with the straights having so many proudly trashy harem stories, I think we gaysbians can live with a couple here and there.

To me, the thing that decides how tolerable a yuri harem story is how it wraps up. The "stretch out the question of whether X ends up with Y or Z" into eternity/people stop caring option is the clear worst, but most yuri harem stories end with either a singular couple forming, or some kind of poly arrangement, which are both valid.

Plus if I had to guess, it seems like this one is angling for a single core pairing with third wheels for drama, which is a time-honoured structure for romance stories.

This is not a harem series. This is an adaptation of a completed novel, I suggest you read it if you don't believe me.

Why do you guys (or Girls maybe ?) read GL like what do you like about this genre .and is the target audience male dominant or female ?
Id prefer GL than a self insert male protagonist, like bro just take a look at other harem or romance manga. the male protagonist personality is so boring sometimes useless or even worse, like being pervert but im not saying all straight story are like that. of course there good story out there

Everything about this is like your average isekai, but girls love edition I love it. I haven't picked up the manga yet so can't say that it's a lot like the average isekai anime.. But the title itself looks like your average isekai anime..

I have no idea which way the audience demographic leans (the way shelves are arranged in Japan suggests that it leans more male, but that's more indicative of publisher bias than statistics

as for what I like about the genre: well, ultimately I've never cared for the romance genre until I came upon GL, and then I just get absorbed into these stories is the main thing
also I never really grew out of "boys have cooties" mindset, so I think that's part of it
