I'll be honest, my entire career has been in AA (not AAA) and all my bosses have had families and in 10 years I've only had to go into crunch mode for a few months total and never for long stretches.

(I've yet to work on a smash hit and I've gotten lucky with stability and still been through layoffs, but there's places out there that aren't the "junior joining a AAA studio death grind" experience)

Do you mean guides for getting a job in games (outside serious games or educational games which are valid jobs if not as flashy), or guides for making games?

I'm pretty sure somewhere its stated that the company was under Jigokumeguri and I believe there was a panel somewhere with Haru in it. I also think that the web designer work that Hajime from "I can't understand what my husband is saying" was from Jigokumeguri too. In other words, ALL PATHS LEAD TO HARU. NOW SHOW ME THE TSUREZURE!!!

Interesting to see characters from Cool-kyou's other works. I wonder if it's just easter eggs or if they'll have a real role. There's already a character very similar to Kobayashi on Chichi Chichi. This can be the birth of the Shinjaverse.

He's a known entity by this point. There's no need to think who Johnny Mask is, because everybody already knows.

|It's the (potentially Elma-family) waitress, and the actual boss girl that are bigger mysteries. Well, that and Tohru's mother, who've already talked with Kobayashi, and who we might see more of soon.
In any case, I see the "gamedev" plot, as an excuse to get more influence over Fafnir and Shin (in-story, at least. out-story, an excuse to use them and Takiya more)

IIRC Haru has made a few appearance prior to this chapter. Most recent was during the battle with fake Loki, director was watching live stream of Kobayashi tanking the spirit bomb with Haru asking what movie was that. Bottom left panel on that page was the janitor, probably.

I liked this chapter. It’s both funny and interesting, stirring a tense atmosphere with who will be laid off. I suspected this series to conclude soon, but along came the guardians plot, and now an Ojojojo crossover, disproving my suspicions. I wonder where it’ll go from here now that Haru’s proposing a games division, and what’s Yutamara’s deal? She’s been stalking Kobayashi since chapter 158, if I’m not mistaken. White-San returns, and Mr. Magatsuchi is his usual, suspicious self... There are a lot of questions left unanswered. Tohru comforting Elma with pancakes was sweet.

Most importantly, we got a decent amount of Kobayashi fan service, so I’m happy. Good chapter.

Haru Jigokumeguri, the main character of Ojojojo. She bought out Kobayashi's company at some point prior to the start of the series and has been both seen and mentioned multiple times, though as far as we can tell she has no idea that magic exists.
