Honestly, I’m not entirely sure how to feel about this chapter.
On one hand, Gotou could’ve gotten himself some nookie from the president—which, to be fair, I wouldn’t have had a problem with. But his mind was clearly on Akito-chan. It’s already been established that he has feelings for her, so it makes sense that he chose not to go through with it.
Normally, in a situation like that, you’d expect him to just go for it. But this time, he held back—and honestly, I think that shows growth. I respect that.
Then, the very next day, he takes a test and scores a hundred on every single part. Like, not only did he pass up the nookie, but he also crushed the exam. That’s a win in its own right.
Now, considering this is an NTR series, I’m kind of torn. Is this a W? Or is it not? I’m not mad at the way things played out, but if he had slept with the president, I wouldn’t have held it against him. But the fact that he didn’t? That’s not a bad look either. I’m just… neutral.
That said, I think his real test is still coming—when he runs into Agawa-san. Because let’s be honest: she’s going to try every trick in the book to get him to sleep with her. If he can resist that? Then yeah, we might be looking at some actual character development.
