Due to her personal grudge (that I am more than certain "leaked" in some way during classes) against dark elves, and her very lousy storytelling, her students fired LEATHAL magic against a stranger.

Now tbf I feel it's quite clear she's a pushover, I imagine this will change over time. The rest of the characters who discussed it are affiliated with that faith so naturally they'd be overly lenient
