They'll have to do something. Our MC drained their reserves against a regular guy, much less a hero. Sure the dude was like peak human, but we already saw the nearly unscalable chasm that separates humans from heroes.I wonder if there will be a time skip and have our mc grownup to fight the heroes? Or is she gonna fight the invader hero with that body?
Sometimes I feel like the only person on this site who isn't tired of the academy arc yet.Pretty sure one of the heroes will come, save the day, realize that MC is a potential hero, decide to bring her to the capital and go through the training to become an actual hero alongside academy arc oh my god another academy arc again![]()
I hope they don’t go the “Actually, people don’t know Od grows the most during childhood the more you spend it, basically I have limitless potential within this time span” route.I'm wondering where this whole "Talent vs. Hard Work" dynamic will end up going.
Power systems that boil down to "Just Use This Simple Trick!" make me grumbleI hope they don’t go the “Actually, people don’t know Od grows the most during childhood the more you spend it, basically I have limitless potential within this time span” route.
I mean, we know where it ended, Hard Work lost, the old man died super easy, MC now only can win because he obtained talent with this lil girl's body that has a shit ton of mana.I'm wondering where this whole "Talent vs. Hard Work" dynamic will end up going. The main character's perspective has a ton of respect for people that put the work in, but it feels like he's also able to end a fight whenever he wants if the opponent lacks a matching level of Od Power. It has me thinking of 7th Prince a bit, but the MC doesn't have a stable of weaker allies to protect and nurture yet.
No tricks or special talent necessary, the wizard probably just gave her a body that doesn't have a max cap and thus all the work she's done is now paying off in full rather than incrementally because she's no longer actively hitting her own limit.
The way I see this particular narrative being driven is a showcasing of Hard Work > Talent > Talent + Hard Work.I'm wondering where this whole "Talent vs. Hard Work" dynamic will end up going. The main character's perspective has a ton of respect for people that put the work in, but it feels like he's also able to end a fight whenever he wants if the opponent lacks a matching level of Od Power. He was training since he was a child remember? and he still had very little.I hope they don’t go the “Actually, people don’t know Od grows the most during childhood the more you spend it, basically I have limitless potential within this time span” route.
He didn't drain his reserves, I think. He simply said that it is draining quickly, not that it is empty, besides it might work closer to a video game mana or stamina bar, and it replenishes fast. Also I also think it might be a translation error, and he actually said that 'it will drain it quickly', since he didn't break his stance before that thought, but after. They'll have to do something. Our MC drained their reserves against a regular guy, much less a hero. Sure the dude was like peak human, but we already saw the nearly unscalable chasm that separates humans from heroes.
