I think it was still fine with Ji Bai dying, since we still had a "knight" Bai Jin, but yes, we don't have her anymore now and it's just Bai Ji. I did prefer how the plot was before, but there were still many things that I didn't like about it already, and some things that did feel somewhat forced. But I'm still enjoying this somewhat, but not as much as before. I mentioned this before, but, another thing that I kinda don't like is how several characters are just forgoten when a new arc starts, and they seem to never appear again, or when they do it's just in a panel or two, and don't even do anything. I will say tho, I always liked Bai Ji more than Ji Bai, but she still does some things that really annoys me.

One of the better chapters. Because there is no plot and only aura. The immortality thing and the vanishing of it comes up quite a lot.

Why did they have to get rid of basically every main character, really annoyed at the author for just getting rid of all the good characters that kept the story interesting. Now, the story is a huge mess and the author doesn't seem to want to bring back the charm of the earlier chapters.
TDLR: Series was really fun until author made the story a confusing mess and got rid of all interesting characters that we had in the first ~300 ish chapters. Kinda fell off which is sad.

Tbf, the plot was a mess from the very beginning, with her being barely in the comic. Which makes the sudden heel face turn all the more annoying. Also doesn't help that the few times we do see old faces again, they either die, completely change, or are confirmed dead. the series has been killing way to main people off in general recently. sure, the current main cast is safe but the current plot is literally just, millions are dying because the author thought it would be cool.
