I read the light novel and I'll say while the start is rough the rest is really good and I think how they have a more real take on a situation with how the school will act in this story by deciding there is no "one" story and deciding to hear both sides out. I also like how the parents act towards certain characters (I'm trying to stay spoiler free as much as possible.) While ive seen people complain that the Mc is forgotten about a lot, you need to remember a good story doesn't always follow one character. I see both the Ex and the Mc as the "Main characters" as the author gives us both sides of how one may deal with this situation.
