I said this last chapter, but I’ll say it again: there’s no reason to believe anything happened between Julius and Drako beyond what the characters actually said. This isn’t like the pre-serialization of Cheeky Gyaru Sister, where the fanbox chapters revealed all the sordid details implied but not shown in the main story. To me, it seems the author is awful at portraying bait and went too far—or maybe everything got retconned because of backlash. Either way, if it wasn’t shown, it didn’t happen, and we have to take the characters’ words at face value. Honestly, I don’t even know why I’m defending this mess.

I choose to believe it’s a backlash retcon, cuz even if dragon girl was faking being brainwashed, nothing was blocking Julius from banging her when she was on his knees with blank eyes several chapters ago, since he thought she was really brainwashed.
I think at this time author wanted the ntr, hence she was really brainwashed there. Then everyone hated it (ofc ), so author backpedalled and now she says she was faking it (and hence really was since author’s words are the rule).
It’s true that nothing was really shown, but that case with her on his knees with blank eyes with the time skip to the next day on the following case is to big to be retconned imo.

Yep, this feels like a massive cop out and makes zero sense.

If Drako was after the guy, there was zero reason to actively make Washio miserable and blame him for everything, there was zero reason to wait until now to actually do something, reveal who she was, and allow all of this to happen. They already had all the evidence ages ago, and he was actually allowed to destroy evidence while she was messing around.

Seems like the audience hated this, ratings cratered, and the author is now trying to backpadle and fix stuff.
