And we finally, FINALLY, get a true kiss on p. 28. So, there were 6 pages of communication about the teasing.

As for the weakness, it struck me she's concerned about lacking courage to initiate and communicate. Not necessarily changing her whole personality or not relying on him, but to stop being the girl that doesn't get the boy. And, I think it hints at her being able to do that sober.

This was set up in chapter 1 where she was really only being truly honest when extremely drunk. Sober, it took her days to actually commit to moving in together like they agreed to. Also, she could only get the kissing they both wanted going with the alcohol.

It feels like this is going to be a healthy relationship.

I said "going to be". As in, in the future. The direction this feels like it's headed. But, it's also a comedy, so we should expect a lot of dumb twists and opportunities for growth for the fun of it.

The porn is a bit of a wash to me. She set a boundary she's comfortable with on that topic, and he went with it. The other contention points are really just overdue for their relationship, and he's onboard with it, given he was ready and expecting her to move in the next day and wondering what was taking her so long 3 days later. Also, as I said, I think the weakness she wants to overcome is the inability to express her feelings sober.

Their relationship is definitely not 100% healthy now, but it isn't terrible either. We get hints that they want to do things better, so I want to be optimistic that they mean it and try.

Ultimately, this is all fiction, so, ya know, it's not that serious.

I don’t necessarily agree with that guy, however I do not find his suspicions of excessive promiscuity that weird. She keeps talking about losing her inhibitions and going out of control, which is weird to say if you’re inexperienced. It’s usually only people with a fair amount of experience that wants to show a more “pure” side and not scare off potential partners that does so.
