I just realized what this feels like. It’s One Punch Man’s Monster Association arc. 4 years of just endless nothing battles with side characters you care nothing about.

It’s the same feeling of getting to the end of the chapter, then getting depressed things haven’t gone back to normal.

Thanks for the chapter, Kredim.

Semi-closeted pedophile got skewered. I don't really care, and he's not going anywhere anyway.

What I am impressed by is the name of that technique--"Rich Man's Charity". A clever metaphor: what good is wealth--received by chance or by gift--to someone without the wisdom to use or even possess it prudently?

EDIT: Hive mentality here is as strong as ever. Is it a guilty conscience that caused so many to become rankled?

This Arc wraps up quite nicely - we get a very good payoff for all of the combat which is mostly being used as a set up for tension (and to break up pages of exposition and flashbacks).

I agree with you in that I've read enough Manga that I give nearly zero fucks about "Look at these cool action hero moves! Don't you wish you had a power level like me, kids at home?!" stuff

But this series, like the One Punch Man Webcomic, is about the drama, the dialog, and the stakes happening WITHIN the combat rather than having a bunch of boring karate chopping pages that the ShounenSlurpers love.
I do like when abilities are used in intelligent, clever, or creative ways though.

Just breeze over the combat pages themselves and look for the character interaction, the dialog, or - as the author often points out - the way that they are fighting that shows their actual intent/personality (often holding back because they don't actually want to fight, buying time, engaging in dialog with the faintest hope that they can reason with the hunters).

If you're just here to see boobies - he put them in this chapter.
Hell, he even gave us at least 2 or 3 decent gags/jokes in this chapter as well for those of us here for the comedy!

(God bless your poor soul if you read Murata's 'DBZ love letter' Manga version of One Punch Man instead of the Webcomic)

It really does speak volumes when a character Kikuru who knows why he's the way he is and takes advantage of that realises that this so called "strength" is still very much a weakness. If there's one thing he's always had an issue with it's been being at the right place at the right time. He's physically fit, But his prowess causes him to loose sight of others when he's on full offense.

Which I've also stated before that this author does know how to write an amazing story but is held back by having boobs and ass in their story for all the horny teens because in most of these fights it's about understanding the mental weights of the foe and the hero not just a brawl to see who's stronger and this chapter does display that well, which is why I like it so.
