Almost all of the manhua sold in stores or uploaded / scanlated are wuxia manhua.

As someone who grew up in the 80s and 90s watching Chinese and Hong Kong wuxia movies and reading wuxia manhua, I am so, so, so tired of seeing this genre being milked for every drop it is worth.

Are they even wuxia? They are mostly cultivation stories, right? In xianxia or weirder settings.

The modern stuff that can be called wuxia are unfortunately put more emphasis on court politics and romance.

Honestly Korean murim novels and manhwas are closer to the old Hong Kong stuff.

Wuxia is low fantasy based on martial arts. It's usually a form of historical fiction.

Mildly confused as to how you are unable to distinguish between xianxia, xuanhuan and wuxia. I mean you probably read or saw Jin Yong adaptations, and can probably tell that the Dog-Beating Stick Technique (打狗棒法) ain't the same as the "my sword can shatter mountains and shift seas" bs of current day xianxia.
Most xianxia is adapted from webnovels, and is basically the equivalent of all the similarly cheap isekai manga in Japan (which are usually also adaptations). It doesn't help that pushing out at a crazy upload rate with full color art and the like means that corners are occasionally cut, but it's not like there aren't innovative or funny series in the mix. Most of the blame for the poor quality chapters we read falls upon the shitty fan translations which are on average several times worse than the typical manga translation.

I don't remember if it was chinese or korean, but I still recall a whole arc that was almost literally: "-you disrespected one of our esteemed brothers five years ago, we shall enact revenge. - your brother disrespected my father seventeen years ago. -your father disrespected one of our brothers twenty years ago." and so on.
It could've stopped at any time by simply never let these people meet and actually go on with the plot (yes, there was one and had nothing to do with these exchanges) but it kept circling over these petty revenges for several tens of chapters.

Though, a lot of the times they don't even need a grudge, just "you have something that I want, I am going to kill you and strip it from your corpse."

I'm sorry, I feel really out of depth here, cause I'm stuck in the Japanese isekai slop, and not in the Chinese wuxia/xianxia/the hell-ia slop

I even had a request made in the past, given that allowing everything except simplifitd chinese was rather tedious

Ignoring the fact that I also have Chinese comics filtered out, let's be a little positive and talk about some good manhua shall we?
-Chang Le Makes Me Unable to Confess. There's an official version so the scanlation is dead
-Tamen de Gushi. But it's on hiatus I think.
-Vtuber confucius. Oh wait, this is from Taiwan. Guess it doesn't count
And the only other manhua I've read,
-First love AI. Ok yeah that one's bad nevermind

At a fundamental level, the only good Chinese comics are "The Pinnacle" and "Nan Hao & Shang Feng".
Just don't binge them, they should be read like one of those newspaper syndication like Dilbert or Garfield.

I honestly feel the groups scanlated shit manhua on purpose. There must be better Chinese stuff, right?

I also like The Pinnacle as the guy above said. It has a continuation, but not scanlated. Also a decent-looking animation.

And I found Reverend Insanity from the manhua.

From what I understood, it's the scamlation Groups modus operandi to take as much comics as possible to appear large, but take the bargain bin trash and also try to snipe popular series's.
They be doing us all a disservice, indeed.

Just learned that some fans are remaking the manhua. 2 chapters are out.

Art is alright. The original manhua wasn’t that great art-wise. I prefer the original faces though.

I think the people doing this are pretty crazy. They even sell physical books of the novel. Definitely copyright infringement.
