Being edged like that is awful, also I guessing he goes there and find Ana is on Dark mode. He gets killed by Ana then Ana switches back to light mode. The cries that Allen is dead, then Allen says "sike I have another" and he shows her the second life ring. He wins the war come back and requests either
A. prince to penalized via execution
B. gets a high title to marry Ana.
C. They both pretend to die and they lived onto the elf village (unlikely)
D. He takes over the kings position via plot point provided by his late father.

It's been multiple days and he's still hesitating, the sense of urgency isn't really there, and the change took even more wind off of those sails IMO. It's like he somehow knows she has plot armor and he can take his time, no need to cross his moral lines to save her.

I was concerned about this manga based on a review I read on mangaupdates, but figured that arc is already over, 5 months after that review was written. Turns out it's still very much ongoing. This is the longest arc so far and it's by far the least valid one. I can't wait for this arc to finally be over in maybe 4 chapters or however long the author decides to drag this out for...
