yeah looking at other chapters they're all like 30+ pages.

It won't happen here, I really don't think.

But I sort of agree with the sentiment. From time to time it would be nice not having the most obvious result all the time. In fact, it would even be nice to see an heroine that's not the FMC win....

Like, we all know Kusunoki will win here. But I think an interesting story could be written with Otobe too. Or with the snake.
I guess I'm just a bit starved for... unconventional endings

Not going to lie, I'll join the bandwagon here and say that the main guy should probably go with Hebikawa or even the tomboy if she sees him moping and drags him along. Kusonaki always wanted to have her "debut" and make more friends so rather than acting all stunned that she actually has that now, go explore the other options.
