God damn, I already knew that this wasn't a fun read from the premise and first few chapters, but as the story goes it keeps on just getting depressing.

I mean, I don't know if I can even continue reading this if it's just constantly this. I want some wins from time to time for the characters, but it's just been constant downers.

Thank you, I have no idea why I didn't pick up on it myself. Though maybe I'm a little grateful… the "translation" may have helped by letting my brain process it by pretending "This isn't real".
