I do believe that seal was long since removed... and in fact is why he is here because it was removed and he was found out to have these skills.

But even still, this is stupid. This entire situation is stupid, and it's stupid that it's allowed to continue. She just admitted she's willing to cripple him for daring to exist.. I mean, challenge her.

So guess I'll take this off my list, this is too dumb.

Yeah, this pissed me off. I know what the mangaka is going for doing all this, but the execution just comes off as not great. He’s trying to establish that even though MC is insanely strong, there are still people that exist that can easily overcome him given the circumstances.

…but being ambushed after a confusing situation is not the best way to show that. Especially using something so lopsided. It was probably done so quickly to portray/showcase the new character/princess’s strength, but stomping the MC in an off situation was just annoying. AND she was going for serious damage to him. Not a great look from a diplomatic stand point.
