One of the big premises of the title is that men seemingly don't "go after" women in this world, because they're effectively how women are in our world - namely, they don't have to do anything for guys (or in this case, girls) to flock to them vying for attention/a place at their side.

So her not being paid attention to by any dude in her school/class makes sense. Doesn't matter what kind of glow-up she had, even the hottest students are having to fight one another for one guy's attention. Her introverted ass ain't in the running there (which is why her mom set her up with MC, who I'm guessing she met through "frequenting boys' clubs" and/or through the landlady MC is staying with, through the excuse of "tutoring for college").

On page 33, a note says the book's title is "The Saint and the Red-Haired Knight", but you can see a bit more of the title on the next page, "聖女と赤眼の王...". The last character is cut off, but it's probably "子".

"聖女と赤眼の王子" translates to "The Saint and the Red-Eyed Prince".

what strikes me as a bit weird, is if it's a "recent" development, how uniformly and comprehensively the behavior of men and woman has changed toward men being conceited arrogant assholes (comparatively) and women becoming unhinged man-hungry predators.

Like...how recent is "recent"? Because it takes time for behavior of people to spread through a community, especially at as wide a scale as seems to be implied in this world. I guess we've only had a narrow view of the place since the MC arrived, but also if it's a matter of the ratio changing, does that mean a bunch of adult men just ....died off suddenly?
Or did the birth rates between genders change in the last 1-2 generations? Because that feels "less recent" but would at least allow for the society to start compensating (like having "Ladies' Clubs" like the Gentleman's Clubs of our world, and stuff like that).

Honestly the way / reason for the world being the way it is, is what I want to know most out of this title currently lol

Not saying that's a given, but this is the "drama" version of 1:39, so if the author's not a coward looking to make it serious we could see less cast than we started with.
