Remind me a bit of the book of three series. Of course that series was actually extremely well written and the ending made me cry. But basically the main character goes on the Journey of self-discovery in the fourth book and travels around the entire continent over years Learning and trying his hand at various things and whatever he tries his hand that he's extremely talented and skilled at until he tries sculpting with clay and he is really bad at it and yet he falls in love with it and keeps practicing and trying until after years he is average.
