You do know that when a fan is folded it basically becomes a solid block, right? Even a regular wood and paper fan can be heavy enough to hurt, depending on what kind of wood is used as the frame.
If the whole thing is made of iron, both the frame and the decorative parts, when folded it's probably heavy enough to be a murder weapon.
