Agreed. It seems he's not fully convinced that she really understands what she's saying about intimacy, at least from a human perspective.I get why he's panicking and pulling back since actually getting pinned and dominated by a giant person is probably frightening in real life when you are not really expecting it. She was literally having her way with him while he said "no" repeatedly.
A conversation about consent afterwards makes sense and I can appreciate Seiichiro coming at it from an angle of Yachiru not having context or experience, but the whole exchange felt like a strange way to maybe introduce Yachiru having past trauma related to her self worth.
I don't really see where we're going and that's fine. I want to find out what the author is cooking.
I'll maintain my theory that lust or at least desire is a central part of her nature as a yokai and her character development is primarily going to be learning to control that, especially in the context of wanting a relationship with a human male. But yeah, guess we'll see what happens.
