I get why he's panicking and pulling back since actually getting pinned and dominated by a giant person is probably frightening in real life when you are not really expecting it. She was literally having her way with him while he said "no" repeatedly.

A conversation about consent afterwards makes sense and I can appreciate Seiichiro coming at it from an angle of Yachiru not having context or experience, but the whole exchange felt like a strange way to maybe introduce Yachiru having past trauma related to her self worth.

I don't really see where we're going and that's fine. I want to find out what the author is cooking.
Agreed. It seems he's not fully convinced that she really understands what she's saying about intimacy, at least from a human perspective.

I'll maintain my theory that lust or at least desire is a central part of her nature as a yokai and her character development is primarily going to be learning to control that, especially in the context of wanting a relationship with a human male. But yeah, guess we'll see what happens.

...Huh.

Okay, this is definitely not were I was expecting things to go... to think they'd go this far in two chapters, no less. I'm still not entirely sure what to feel, but I hope their boundaries get settled into a good place soon?

They're definitely not going back to being just friends after this one, though.

Opening his guard and, uhm, getting into a very awkward situation. Glad he never took advantage of Yachiru's naive side, and has proper values as a human to pass on to Youkai, which is what Yachiru-san seems to value the most. Yachiru stated she wouldn't want him to turn into a monster by feeling sexually attracted to her, which makes it even more special when she realizes that he would always remain himself, even if he did, never exploiting or betraying her when chances arise, like in today's chapter. Even though he has a "huge!" fetish, it doesn't change him, and he remains true to himself. But wow, he is easily led to this kind of situation... He led himself to this situation; the moment he stepped into the love hotel, it wasn't just for "Yachiru-san's sake", there was some degree of desire that led Seiichiro into going inside a hotel room with a woman he is attracted to, and this is the accurate human behavior.

Yeah it appears more and more that the "joke" of Hasshaku-sama being seen as lewd by modern H doujins is a legit plot point that is affecting her very core yokai nature.

The offer, and Seiichiro pointing out she was acting a bit off, initially I thought it was a side effect of being praised "erotically" but it felt too genuine to be just that. The way she teased him and had fun, in this moment, it was as if her erotic image was perfectly mixed with the Hasshaku-sama nature... Rings a bell.

God these comments are making my head hurt

At least some of them are understanding where both of them are coming from

Honestly I want to do an analysis of these 2 chapters so y'all can understand why they're acting like this lmaoo

The heart of the message was good but he went way overboard in his lecture especially when he rejected the very notion of her feelings. Feels like he ran his mouth in the heat of the moment, it would be good if next chapter we get to see him lament over being a dick.

Funny thing is that the gooner type of comments about Hasshaku-sama are now being heavily implied to be the reason she is even acting like a hentai heroine in the first place.

There may be an ironic meta link between the myth of Hasshaku, and how her modern fans see her as.

TLDR; Gooner brainrot infecting her yokai nature may actually be the overarching "conflict" of the story.

The villains where us all along. :notlikethis:

On one hand, the dude got what most of us can only dream of. On the other hand those last 2 pages of the previous part recontexualize the whole thing from "god I wish that were me" to "oh fuck this is actual sexual assault" and I'm glad the author touched on male SA victims because it's rarely ever broached in media tastefully. I am intrigued that MC brought up the idea that something might have happened to her in the past that had an impact on her ability to recognize and/or form boundaries. As someone else said (I'm too lazy and not sober enough to tag them) I have no idea where this is going but I'm interested in seeing what the author is cooking
