The second line can be read both ways, due to Japanese text allowing for the omittance of key words. While the third line is vague enough to fit to both interpretations. Though the shaky bubble does push it more to the second line being Naoi's now that I took a closer look at it.
The omittance can cause confusion but the order in "汚して怒った" shouldn't lead to the "destroyed because mad" interpretation. It's "mad because destroyed" (which Naoi doesn't have a reason to be).

She does actually, since Kudou sent Naoi the image of Kurumi having fun with Kokoro decorating the arch. The whole point is that was Naoi's motive.

? I meant that Naoi wouldn't be mad because she destroyed it (she could have destroyed it because she was mad, but that's not what the order of the verbs is in the original text). Sorry if I wasn't clear.

I see your point now. I thought the original text was a grammar compression. Since as the reader knew, Naoi's motive as given was Kudou's text to her causing anger. Though as you pointed out, the second bubble does make more sense as Naoi's line.

While normally I'd like to give it more grace, I'm going to have to agree with the others expressing displeasure at this arc. Like in a vacuum it would be fine, but it being this deep in and basically fully backseating the main relationship is taking its toll. I don't mind the main focus not being entirely and completely on the two of them, but it definitely gets to a point where its just kind of stupid and even a seemingly even slightly out of character to continue to push the two apart for the sake of dragging it out more.

Hopefully next month is a banger.

The girl on page 10 and Isanuma look so similar. I had a bit of trouble telling them apart in page 4. Anyone knows her name?

I have neither the energy nor a way with words so I can't elaborate better than the others already have but this being a monthly manga makes dragged-out side character drama feel extra tedious. Naoi's 'regression' (bizarrely avoiding Kurumi at every chance) comes across as more of a plot device to buy the NPCs time, i.e., we can theorize and all about her thought process but we don't directly get to see enough of her pov for it to be good drama.

I'm going to throw my two cents in and say this might become a consistent thing with this series due to the author having never done a long-running series before. It's either been oneshots, a few chapters with timeskips in between basically all of the chapters, or a series abandoned after only 3 chapters. There was also a recent interview where the author admitted their character development writing skills needed work.

--What was the source of inspiration for this story?
I was inspired by a manga I drew a long time ago called "What Was I Just Thinking?" (which I've also posted on X) https://mangadex.org/chapter/b35ab226-9adc-47db-a084-8dca4b336b09/1, and I started creating it with the themes of impulse and liberation.

--In this work, the gap between Yoshizawa's inner and outer self, and the scene where Naoi learns her secret, were very striking. Are there any particular points you focused on while drawing, or anything you'd especially like readers to notice?
Thank you for reading it. My favorite yuri tropes are "a girl who's a handful but you can't leave her alone" and "bickering couples" (ken-couple), so I suppose what I'd really like people to see is Yoshizawa getting jerked around by the free-spirited Naoi, and the dynamic between the two of them who can't be honest with each other... Maybe there isn't enough of that yet, but I want to draw more!

--Do you have a favorite scene or line? If so, please tell us why.
It's the color spread in Chapter 1. The onlookers in the gym disappear, and only one person is there to hear Yoshizawa's real scream... I love it because it symbolizes their relationship. I was worried the storyboard wouldn't get approved because you can barely see the main character's face and the heroine is shown from behind, despite it being a color spread, so I was really happy when it did.

--What do you keep in mind or focus on when creating the story?
I try to make sure that either Yoshizawa or Naoi is involved in every event, and that they change or grow as a result... This might sound obvious, but it's difficult! I'm still learning...

--Please tell us about your future prospects or goals.
It's less of a goal, but I've always hoped we could release various merchandise for this series. Thanks to so many people reading it, that dream has mostly come true. But if I had to pick one more thing... I'd love for it to get voice actors (CVs)! I want to hear the voices of all the characters in "Destroy It All and Love Me in Hell"!

--Do you have a message for the readers who are looking forward to your work?
Thank you for always enjoying "Destroy It All and Love Me in Hell." The comments and fan art I receive from everyone are a huge source of motivation for me. The story is far from over, so I hope you'll stick with us to the very end.
