New License: History of the Kingdom of the Orcsen: How the Barbarian Orcish Nation Came to Burn Down the Peaceful Elfland (Manga). Story and art by Kyoichiro Tarumi and Takeshi Nogami. Betrayed by their brethren, a dark elf chief must do whatever it takes to save her people—even trusting orcs. After their allies violently attack, chieftain Dineru of the dark elves commands her remaining people to flee, leading them into Orcsen, a land of orcs. Despite being enemies, Dineru and her clan are welcomed into the kingdom. Dineru makes a deal with the orc king, Gustav, asking for supplies so she can return to fight, but Gustav has other plans. Fighting alongside the dark elves, Gustav helps lead Dineru to victory and offers them a permanent home in the kingdom. Will Dineru and her people find peace, or is this the beginning of a deadly future? © Kyoichiro Tarumi, Takeshi Nogami 2024 / HIFUMISHOBO Co., LTD. Available from Seven Seas Entertainment May 2026 (Print/Digital).

I absolutely love the fact that the story made the effort to have Dineru imagine the our world, within her knowledge. So many stories would just represent modern day society from our eyes, and not from the eyes of someone within that world.
Amazing verisimilitude!
Also looking forward to the romance of course, but I really greatly appreciated that a story finally got this point right.

This is the part I was most excited and dredging to see. The military depiction is just as strong, and is building up well to the inevitable war. But on the other hand, upcoming chapters focus more on this romance. It's fine from a character standpoint, but it distracts from the main plot and the way its depicted gives me H material vibes.

Looks like the chapter numbering has changed, investigated it a bit and it seems like this happened;

Chapter 5 was released as two parts, but each part was like 50 pages each, so when the volume came out they changed 5(part 1) to 5 and 5(part 2) to 6

This chapter from the online raws was 6, but in volume 3 it's listed as chapter 7 (confirmed myself)
